Elva, a treasures of Cottian Alps. You will have the chance to visit the parish church of Serre hamlet, with its frescoes by Hans Clemer. These frescoes tell the story of the Virgin Mary, Jesus and the Crucifixion. Furthermore, you will also admire the stone baptismal font made by the siblings Zabreri of San Damiano Macra.
The visit will continue with the “Pels” museum to discover the story of Elva hair pickers, who made valuable wigs; those wigs were sold in the whole Europe.
After lunch you will continue the tour by visiting two churches, which host some stunning frescoes: San Peyre Church in Stroppo and San Salvatore Church in Macra.
