Meet your guide in Alba, then set off for a panoramic tour of Langhe area. The Barolo hills will be your first stop: there you will enjoy a guided tour and wine tasting at a selected wine cellar, learning everything about the production techniques and the culture of Barolo wine.
Afterwards, you will move to La Morra, a village known for its picturesque "belvedere" (panoramic viewpoint), which offers a stunning view of the vineyards of Bassa Langa (Low Langa) and the castles built on top of these magical hills.
Your guide will take you for a stroll to show you the colourful Cappella del Barolo (Barolo Chapel), a deconsecrated church located among the vineyards, and the wonderful cedar of Lebanon, a centuries-old tree which had been planted by the Counts Falletti and has been a landmark for the local inhabitants for over 150 years.
Enjoy a typical Langhe lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch we will take you to discover MONFORTE D’ALBA, with a suggestive walk through the streets of one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, starting from our tourist office located inside the town hall. First stop at the impressive church of “Madonna della Neve” (Our Lady of the Snows). We will then proceed towards Piazza Umberto I, gathering place for local people. After that we will visit Colonel Martina Museum, where we will learn more about Monforte (the visit is not possible in case private events are held in the building). To reach the core of the old Monforte we take an uphill path, following the steps of the heretics’ community of Cathars. We are in the "saracca" area now. We finally get to the Old Church square, where the clock tower, symbol of the town, is located. Next to the tower, the Saint Augustin Oratorio, the iconic Horszowski amphitheatre - the place for jazz lovers thanks to the Monfortinjazz festival held every summer - and a panoramic viewpoint. Last stop for an incredible pic at the #12 Big Bench.
