The cornerstone of Neive's food and wine heritage is its winemaking tradition. The outstanding wines produced on these hills, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, have earned Neive the title of the "Land of the Four Wines." The wines that make up the prestigious "Four Wines of Neive" are:
BARBARESCO D.O.C.G.
Obtained from vineyards cultivated with Nebbiolo grapes in the municipalities of Neive, Barbaresco, Treiso and a tiny hemlet of Alba.
BARBERA D'ALBA D.O.C.
Made from Barbera grapes, this wine is the one that best embodies the Piedmontese personality: bold and resilient, yet elegant and full of character.
DOLCETTO D'ALBA D.O.C.
Considered the wine of friendship, it is best enjoyed with a full glass and a full heart.
MOSCATO D'ASTI D.O.C.G.
The grape used to produce wines for celebrating and for convivial occasions.
You can choose from a range of different options:
OPTION 1 - wine tasting at a local Enoteca in the historic centre.
BASIC WINE TASTING - 3 wines: 1 white, 1 young red, 1 more structured and complex red wine - 15 EUR per person
BARBARESCO WINE TASTING - 3 Barbaresco - 20 EUR per person
OPTION 2 - visit and wine tasting at a local winery
Visit of the cellar and tasting of 4-5 wines - from 25 EUR per person
