A minimum number of 10 participants is required for this tour.
Duration: 8 hours.
Meet your guide in Pollenzo, then set off to begin your tour. Discover the Roman archaeological site of Pollentia (Pollenzo), the University of Gastronomic Sciences (Università del Gusto) and the Wine Bank (La Banca del Vino), where you will enjoy a personal guided visit followed by special wine tastings (3 wines).
Afterwards, your guide will show you the historic Cinzano factory and introduce you to the original Cinzano Glass Collection (Museo del Bicchiere) as well as the cellars where the well-known sparkling white wine used to be stored.
Enjoy a typical Piedmontese lunch at a farmhouse restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will go for a nice stroll in Cherasco, the famous historic town where, in 1796, Napoleon Bonaparte signed the Armistice, followed by a peace treaty, imposing his terms of surrender to the Savoys. Today, Cherasco is one of the Italian capitals of snails. Thanks to the novel Tra Le Mura Stellate (“Between the Starry Walls”) by Gina Lagorio, it is also known as the town with “starry walls, studded with precious monuments, churches, buildings and decorative structures”.
Your tour will then continue in Bra: the cradle of Piedmontese Baroque and also a city rich in history, culture and culinary excellences.
Finally, you will take a walk in the centre and discover the many historic buildings and beautiful churches its streets are scattered with, together with the interesting views it offers.
