E-BIKE TOUR IN THE LANGHE BARBARESCO AREA

Departure from NEIVE, visit of the town, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The walk goes along fortified houses, baroque villas with lovely gardens, country churches and then it climbs up to the renewed CLOCK TOWER for an unforgettable view of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato UNESCO heritage areas. Along secondary roads we will reach BARBARESCO, a village that gave its name to the famous wine. The tour will continue between panoramic ups and downs passing through TRE STELLE where we will admire Barbaresco and its tower from another angle, PERTINACE where the emperor Publio Elvio Pertinace was born, generalissimo of the Roman Empire under Marcus Aurelius, later elected Emperor. Stop in SAN ROCCO SENO D’ELVIO, a suburb of Alba, which takes its name from the patron saint of the suburb and from the Seno d’Elvio, the small river that flows into the valley.
Passing through the municipality of TREZZO TINELLA we will arrive in TREISO where we will stop to admire the spectacle of the ROCCHE DEI SETTE FRATELLI a chasm in stark contrast with the hills covered with vineyards created by the erosion of the water that has carved out the hill over the centuries. The legend tells of seven blasphemous brothers who, struck by divine wrath, sank into the deep gorges of the Fenoglian fortresses of the Resistance, also known, right after that episode, as the Seven Brothers' fortresses.
Along a unique ridge from a landscape point of view, stop at the viewpoint and rest area DONNA DI LANGA which takes its name from the monument that aims to enhance and honor the hard work of women on the hills told in Beppe Fenoglio's books. Transiting through MANGO we will reach THE VINEYARD OF PASTELS. In this vineyard owned by the Anfosso Piercarlo Farm, it is possible to freely access to admire a curious artistic installation: the giant pastels that have taken the place of the wooden poles at the end of the rows of vines. Next stop at the MOSCATO CHAPEL, a rural church repainted by the British artist David Tremlett with the Wall Drawing technique. Last stop at the BIG BENCH in COAZZOLO before returning to NEIVE.
