European Capital of Baroque, Turin is the largest city in Piedmont. In recent years, it has undergone substantial changes, transforming itself from an industrial city to a city promoting tourism, culture and sport.

The city is located on the western edge of the Po Valley, surrounded by the Alps to the west and the hills to the east.

The Savoy capital still preserves the ancient Roman road network renovated by the Savoy dynasty which, from the 16thcentury onwards, put in place a very strict and rational urban planning.

Particularly fascinating are, in fact, the geometry of its streets, the symmetry of its squares and the regularity of its long avenues.

Among the must-see attractions of the city are the historic residences of the Royal House of Savoy, its rich and monumental squares together with its important religious buildings, which are both an integral part of the history of Turin and an example of great architectural works.

It would be also a great idea to visit at least some of the most important and original of its museums: the Egyptian Museum, the National Museum of the Car and the Museum of Cinema
